About The Puja
Rama Ekadashi holds immense significance in Hinduism and is observed in the Krishna Paksha of Kartik month, four days before Diwali. This Ekadashi is particularly dear to Lord Vishnu, as it is believed to be one of his most cherished days. Worshipping Lord Vishnu on this day is believed to bring blessings for the peace of ancestors' souls and help alleviate Pitru Dosh, a dosh caused by the unfulfilled desires and negative deeds of ancestors. Pitru Dosh is said to lead to financial difficulties, strained relationships, and the presence of negative energy in one's life. Performing the Pitru Dosh Shanti Mahapuja is believed to help remove this dosh and bring relief and prosperity.
Along with the Pitru Dosh Shanti Mahapuja, the Ganga Dudh Abhishek is performed to grant peace to departed souls and to protect the devotees from negative energies. This abhishek is highly significant as it is performed at Gangotri, where Maa Ganga descended to Earth after King Bhagirath’s penance, and Lord Shiva controlled her flow by holding her in his locks. Worshipping Maa Ganga here is believed to fulfill the devotee's desires and bring blessings. Additionally, performing the Pitru Puja in the sacred city of Kashi holds special importance. It is believed that this puja brings peace to the souls of ancestors and their blessings, resulting in happiness and prosperity for the devotee.
For a more powerful and fulfilling experience, optional rituals like Ganga Aarti and Deep Daan can be included in the puja. These rituals are considered highly auspicious and further enhance the spiritual benefits of the puja. By participating in this special combination of rituals, you can invoke divine blessings from Lord Vishnu, free yourself from Pitru Dosh, and fulfill your desires.
